There is enough downsizing and cutting back of the military. Let's not take away something that honors their name. Follow their suggestion for a better Columbus veteran display. They stood for us, may we stand for them.

Once the fighting is done, the veterans are no longer needed. They are cast aside and forgotten about. Leave the memorials in place, show that the VETERANS are not totally forgotten.

Hard to believe the Commissioners would withdraw their support of Veterans by destroying the Veteran's Memorial - the most visible image of support for Veterans

The destruction of Veterans Memorial is wrong headed, the wrong direction for public money and a poor leadership decision for our community. Please reconsider your vote for destruction.

As a member of 101AB/502 PIR Living History Team-our mission is to do what ever we can to honor our Veterans-WWII-Korea-Vietnam and present day military fighting for our FREEDOMS--I think is is a great shame to tear down this building that does honor all our VETERANS-The plans to add to the building would greatly enhance the HONOR to all VETERANS.

What a shame that a PUBLIC structure built to honor veteran's is even being considered for demolition to be replaced with an enterprise dedicated to profit and private interests! Shame on the board of commissioners!

This plan to demolish the Veterans Memorial is not doing the right thing for the veterans it was erected to honor.

The veterans deserve to be honored with the city's trust and the building retained as originally planned.
