The Ontelaunee Township Board of Supervisors has required the Schuylkill Valley School District to construct a turning lane northbound on Ontelaunee Drive at the point of entrance into the middle school. The estimated cost for this project is $250,000. The district has had two separate traffic studies, each of which has concluded that the turning lane presently is not needed. Despite several appeals, the township supervisors have continued to require that the turning lane be constructed. Please sign the attached petition to show your support of having the Ontelaunee Township Board of Supervisors reconsider their position on this matter, saving the Schuylkill Valley taxpayer the cost of constructing a turning lane.
