I love my DR650! It's my favorite out of all the motorcycles I have owned and I have experienced quite a few on my 42 years of life on this planet. I think it's a good candidate to go fuel injection, maybe water cooled but then again it's simplicity makes it what it is. I think if I ride a Tenere 700 it might give the ol' DR a run for it's money.

I have owned (2) DR650se so far and love them for my riding style and east maintenances. But, in Colorado and Rocky Mountain states I ride EFI would be a huge advantage. Plus the brakes and suspension F/R need improvements needless to say.

Would like F.I. but a carb is fine by me,. It does desperately need a much wider spread gear box. Does not have to gain a gear, just make 4th and 5th taller. Copy the XR650L with a NX650 2nd and a FMX650 5th because in my opinion, that's the best set-up 5 speed gear box out there. It costs basically no money to do this and for how these bikes are used, it desperately needs a wide ratio box,,,, it's not a rice bike! Better suspension,,,, or not, I can address that . That's it.

I was planning to buy a DR650 for my next bike. I’ve owned a KLR650 but like the lighter weight and more off road focus of the DR650. If you don’t update it I will buy the KLR instead

If this bike gets updated I will definitely buy one, as long as it doesn’t end up a heavy bike like the KLR650,
