I absolutely agree with what has been already said, only build if it is necessary and in keeping with the existing beautiful architecture not the monstrosities that are currently being built.

I saw the same thing happening in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Absent landlords, building not maintained, leaks in roof etc.

These buildings are all destined to be empty shells. The buyers of them will never visit. They just wanted the passport. Based on present occupancy levels at our hotels and inns, we do not need more accommdations. As the buildings sit empty, there will be no revenue to maintain the property, and more imortantly, the promised jobs to so many will be lost. And we'll be left with deteriorating unsightly buildings all over the federaton.....

I spent my life savings to build my Villa in St Kitts. I was told and I Quote,"NOTHING OVER TWO STORIES HIGH WILL EVER BE BUILT ON THE ISLAND." WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PROMISE AND THE PROMISE TO OTHERS LIKE ME! Enough.......this beautiful island that I fell in love with BECAUSE of the natural unspoiled beauty is being ruined for PROFIT and greed....nothing else!!!

Please our island should be pristine and not over developed. It is ridiculous to allow money and land grabbers to destroy what wa sonce a quiet an dunspoilt. island. Ther eare other ways to market the island

A smart, cohesive development plan needs to put forth before what makes St. Kitts such a great travel destination is ruined.
See my letter written to the Planning Dept.January 2014, stating my strong concern regards over-development without consideration to local residents

Our island has a special appeal that is being destroyed by wanton, irresponsible development with no real restrictions. Our children and grandchildren's legacies are at risk. Responsible planning and development must happen NOW!
