Our advocacy project for Theo 111 is focusing on sustainability as it pertains to the cafeteria. By signing this petition, you would be advocating for a visible compost bin to be added near the garbage cans at exit of the cafeteria and would be essentially taking personal responsibility for your level of waste and attempting to cut down on the amount of food that you throw out on a daily basis.

The volume of support has reached a level where the university administration has agreed to a brief meeting regarding cafeteria waste management. I am currently drafting a formal proposal to outline the specific requirements for placement and maintenance of the compost bins.

The amount of food people toss in the caf is actually insane. We can definitely do better.
finally someone is doing something about the waste. hope the school actually listens this time.
YES. I have been wanting this for so long. It makes zero sense that we dont have composting yet.
Love this idea. Campus really needs to step it up if we want to be green.
We need to make Xavier much more sustainable than we are. We are a Jesuit institution, and part of that is acknowledging our stewardship for the earth.

its about time we started composting. way too much stuff ends up in the landfill that doesnt need to be there.
