Following the closure of Oxford Road to install traffic calming measures, Littlemore has become cut off from the rest of Oxford and traffic on Newman Road has become unacceptably dangerous. We call upon Cllr Tim Bearder and Oxfordshire County Council to immediately suspend the Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) barrier separating Littlemore Road from Crowell Road, on the grounds that it is now a danger to the safety of Littlemore's residents.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam when I started typing it out on my phone in the kitchen but here we are and the response is just wild. It feels like everyone is finally seeing the same mess on Newman Road that I see every single morning which is honestly a relief because I was starting to think I was the only one losing my mind over these barriers.

The traffic down Newman Road is just crazy now. I can barely get out of my own drive in the mornings. It needs to go.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE. They have completely blocked us in and made everywhere else dangerous for the kids. Take these barriers down immediately.

This whole plan was a disaster from day one. Nobody asked for this and it’s making life impossible for people who live here
