We, the friends of DR. Catherine Ellison-Rosa Parks Early Education School, are petitioning for continued funding from the City of Boston for our Surround Care Program. The Surround Care program provides a safe and nurturing environment for our children before and after school.

Our Surround Care Program has been essential for our children and families for several reasons including but not limited to:

* Our children are able to have a before and after school program in their school building.
* Our children have the opportunity to participate in and learn extracurricular activities and skills such as drama, violin, chess, crocheting, knitting, soccer, robotics, football, yoga and so much more.
*Our children are learning advanced social skills in terms of relating to, working with, and playing with their peers.
* Our children are in a safe nurturing and familiar environment where they can learn and grow and we parents are not-left without safe childcare for our children while we are working to provide for our families and contribute to the City of Boston.
