I'm a person with Type 1 diabetes. Thankfully, I don't have kidney disease right now but if I ever did need a kidney transplant, what chance would my new kidney have to stay healthy if I don't get a pancreas as well. WE NEED A PANCREATIC SURGEON +1!!!

I myself suffer from Chronic Hereditary Pancreatitis, some of my immediate family have it and lots of my extended family has it. I've to pay for everything first hand as it's not on the "LIST" as a life long chronic condition. Just because it's rare doesn't mean that those who suffer should be sidelined. It's the least you can do to help that if I or any of my family ever needed a surgeon that there would be one there!

Please hear our voices and become pro active in recruiting a replacement pancreatic surgeon. People out there are running out of time,their lives are in your hands. Close your eyes and try to envisage what a day looks like for them. Please give them hope.
