Believe it or not my big chop gave me more confidence as a young woman. It may sound cheesy but it made me love me. I was glad to know that I didn't have to conform to society's idea of "beautiful." My hair allows me to stand out. The moment I throw some weave in, I realize how quickly I vanish into the crowd. My natural crown is beautiful. Yours is too!

I have proudly sported a natural low hair cut for the past 30 years. It pains me to see our beautiful black women so insecure of their natural beauty that they must damage their hair with glues and chemicals.

I sign this petition against banding our young leaders our black young ladies from wearing their own hair naturally at school. What next telling them they have to become someone else to be somebody! A young lady natural hair is her beauty its how god made her!
