It's high time we as Black men, started treating our sisters in a way to enable them embrace their natural God given hair. It's a shame that African American ladies don't feel beautiful until they alter the texture of their hair. As men, we have to reinforce our daughters and sisters about this misconception. ..

The story that sparked this described one of the most stupid and hurtful school "dress code" suspensions in recent history. I am a 55 year old Caucasian woman who thinks the pictures of the young ladies are beautiful! I wish my hair would do the million-tiny-curls thing!

I was born with naturally straight hair with a little bit of a wave to it. I'd love to have naturally curly-kinked hair and I think it's beautiful. Love yourself for who you are! I'm signing this petition because I DO NOT AGREE with the school! These school codes absolute boggle my mind!

Natural hair is *natural*! It is what it is. To impose standards that essentially comply to euro-centric perceptions is unconscionable. Sez this white female with blah limp hair.
