My mother, daughter, 6 granddaughters and myself all have natural hair. And we are beautiful at every level.

This is beyond ignorance you have the right wear whichever way you please. There are no wrong or rightway to wear your hair at school really. The world is focus on looks more the value of education. That's why girls are this on fleek and that on fleek grades horrible.

I don't know why people are so intimidated by our hair. I am having similar problems on my job but I'm going to keep wearing what God gave me.

I think that it is very stupid of the principal to try to enforce that rule. I feel as though, he's telling them not to love themselves. Their hair makes them unique. He should be more worried about their grades and ensuring them a safe and productive environment. Hair should be the last of his worries.

This goes against the self esteem of young women and men and forces one's own vision of what someone should look like. Unreasonable and disgraceful.

Do you have any idea of the health issues that come with relaxers? Issues that affect black women specifically. Fibroids, endometrosis etc. We are not here for your visual consumption. Our children go to school to learn. NOT to appease your ill mandates. I hope every natural child continues to stand against this. #AChildShallLeadTheWay #BlackGirlMagic #NaturalHair #Slay

Proud of you girls! Stand up for yourselves and lead by example. Our hair (black women/girls) is beautiful and we should never have to apologize for being ourselves.
