Community space enriches lives and neighborhoods. The Kilauea Pavilion aims to do just that. Part of the overall Anaina Hou project, the proposed Kilauea Pavilion will be located along Kuhio Highway in Kilauea, next to Banana Joe’s and behind the Kaua`i Mini Golf & Gardens currently being constructed. It is a multi-use venue that will feature an indoor theater for movies and other events; an outdoor performance space for theater, dance and music; a certified kitchen that will be available to cater to the events on site, as well as for rent to create value-added agricultural products; and a small conference room with A/V capability. All of the elements above will be available for rent as a whole or individually for public and private events, including, but not limited to, fundraisers, halau shows, birth luaus, family reunions, weddings and receptions, film festivals, business conferences, plays, and concerts, amongst others. This type of community center and performance space has long been desired and needed in the Kilauea and north shore community.
