I support Judge Olu Stevens!!!!

This city needs to really take an examination of the heart and problem that lies in our justification system. Is has pointed the finger at the wrong person. Crime has not begun nor ended with this man, nor is he the reason that young black men are excused for their crime or persecuted unfairly? Try again!

I stand with Judge Olu Stevens to bring justice to the courtrooms of Louisville, Jefferson County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

He is absolutely right I'm a citizen of this community work hard pay my taxes clean record grew up in the drug community and has yet to receive a jury duty letter my grandmother who is 70 just got hers and in todays time why on earth would anybody choice a all white jury that id straight bs regardless how you see it

I support you for speaking truths within the judicial process that has been blatantly demonstrated for hundreds of years. In the early 80's, I served as a juror in Louisville, Ky. The process of instructions, if we found the person guilty of anything would send an innocent black man to prison for no reason. While the person who should have been on trial was a white police officer who, after being called to a shooting on 28th Street let the shooting victim lay wounded for 1 hr 30+ minutes while detaining a person who witnesses stated was not the shooter. The officer never called for medical assistance but instead took the innocent man to jail for interrogation never calling for medical assistance. Sitting on a 6 panel jury I was the only young African American female. I was disrespected by older white male and female jurors. I was called stupid, I was degraded and outwardly intimidated because I would NOT, COULD NOT find an innocent black man guilty. However, I had to stand for what was right. I HAD to do what was right. We resulted in a hung jury. Returning back to the court room the judge asked if anyone had anything to say. So I spoke of the injustice of both persons, the shooting victim who laid on the ground for over an hour and a half before SOMEONE else called for medical assistance as well as the defendant. The judge surprisingly agreed and informed us what would transpire in the days/months to come. Several years later as I was walking down on 4th Street, I passed a person who looked familiar. At that time in my life I worked for a prominent African American dentist so I thought this person must have been one of our patients. I continued walking. Still in view we both turned and looked at each other. I stopped, he stopped and ironically we came towards each other. I spoke, stating that he looked familiar but I could not remember where I knew of him. He agreed and raised his eyebrows with a serious but humbled expression. Almost instantly, I asked if I m

I am Louisville native, and I fully support Judge Olu Stevens. It is important that fairness exists in our justice system. Therefore, the jury should be representative of the community.

Far to long have all white jury's been deciding the fate of Black accused. The jury is supposed to be of your peers. It should represent the make up of the community. The time is now to take a stand. your form us justice leaves Black people with no justice. It stops now...

The defendent had a right to be judged by a jury of his peers, and this judge had every right to dismiss the jury because of the lack of african american jurers.

Each American Citizen has the right to be tried a jury of their peers. If this is not happening it should be the judges right to correct this incorrect issue.
