I go to Monkland avenue from my home in Laval usually twice a year - for the Monkland festivals. I know I help to boost the NDG community those 2 times.

I look forward to the Monkland Street Festivals every year, as do my kids. It's part of the season-long celebration of summer in Montreal, brings the community together, brings people out and into the open. NDG would not be the same without it.

I honestly don't even know where to begin in telling you how important these festivals and events are to community businesses and families. Especially in such a disconnected world, how can we oppose something that brings a community together in good spirits?

The festivals are a good busienss opportunity and give visibility to our great arrondissement. I have many friends that want to move to NDG because they got to see it in full flavor.
