One of the reasons I continue to be a Lutheran-the forward thinking of this religion. Not propagating hate or division which I feel the Confederate flag does.

I have taught at LTSG and know the place the battlefield plays in your identity - but that identity is first and foremost about love, kindness, and grace. You are exhibiting it now by caring for the justice issues you see in removing this flag that too many see as a symbol of hate and oppression. Thank you for your leadership. I stand with you in this action and support you 100?

I believe it is long past time for this symbol of hatred and oppression to be eradicated from our campus and from our country.

I applaud your stance of refusal to allow the public display of symbols of hate, slavery, rebellion, and evil on your property - except in museums.

While some decry such a ban as trivial or PC at its worst, allowing the blasé display of the Confederate battle flag serves to embolden and encourage institutional racism.
Bravo LTSG for taking a stand. I support your contribution to living the Gospel that Love fulfills the Law.

Please, please be a leader in issues of race. The honoring of any flag can be a distraction from the proclamation of the gospel in the best times. But the flag of the Confederacy is abhorrent. Please proclaim grace, hope and love through Christ by making a stand against the history that flag represents. Peace+

This should have been done much earlier in the history of America. However, it is not to late before another century pass by. " How soon not now becomes never." Martin Luther
