Keep the Kenya Field Schools Running
Based on the recommendation of Rutgers' Vice President for Undergraduate Education and the SAS Dean's office, the Koobi Fora Field School and Primatology, Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Field School will be suspended in 2010. These field schools are administered by Rutgers University, the National Museums of Kenya and Kenya Wildlife Services. We are calling on anyone who has either attended, taught on, donated to, or has been in anyway affiliated with, the field schools to sign our petition to reverse this devastating decision. The field school has been a life changing experience for many of us, and we want this opportunity to be a reality for students in the future, but without your support this might not be the case. Please join us in working to sustain the research opportunities and field experiences made possible through the two field schools. We are asking that you sign the petition and compose letters by January 4th 2010.
