I think this is a great opportunity for penticton to have more life to it. The green space is nice but there is still tons of it in the new development.

Will give the area a much needed facelift. Awesome for all ages. About time Penticton was in the running for more businesses. Let's welcome business like Kelowna, and Vernon do. Let's show a friendlier Penticton instead of sabotaging all the time.

The city needs this. Why should we let our dollars leave the city to go somewhere else (Osoyoos & Vernon) when we should be able to provide the same thing

I was so sad when the slides got closed. We need this, penticton is more then just a town to retire in. Keep young family's happy. Keep the economy going. More jobs, more joy.

I'm tired of this sleeper, backwards attitude that some people in this town have. Lets boycott everything that has anything to do with progress, why don't we? Have they even got the facts straight? seems not. Personally I have lived here for 30 years and I love it here... but recently only for the location - the economy, the demographics, the lack of entertainment - its painful. If my family wasnt here - I would have moved to Kelowna long time ago. I cant leave, so can we please just have some progress already? In case those of you opposing have not noticed, this town is dying a slow and painful death. I believe we are coming into the next boom, so lets take the opportunity for development when its being offered. Sacrificing a small, underused patch of grass and several trees to me is well worth the people that want this opportunity for their kids and for the town. Have you looked around how much park land and beaches we actually have in this town? tons... what we don't have is economy, development and entertainment. I fully support you Council and your decisions for progress. I, unlike the naysayers, believe that without this city land - there would be no waterslides. All the private landowners got greedy in our last boom and the prices of land are not supportive for recreational development of any kind. So, thank you for allowing us to borrow some of the city's land so that we can have a some fun and those that come here in the summer with kids can have some fun... and then tell their friends... and then perhaps some will move here and start businesses... and buy houses... and spend money in the dying mall... and so on and so on. Thank you

let move forward Penticton!!! The 2 small acres of a portion of park that actually never seems overly busy when I am anywhere near is well worth the long-term progress this town badly needs. I respect your decision council and for keeping your stand. Most people want this, so lets do it!

I think it would be a great improvement to the city. No need for not having it. Doing something awesome with that area is a good decision on the city's part :)

I can't even think of a good reason not to make this happen. Living on the north end of town, I rarely go to skaha. This would actually give me a reason head down there for once.
