The school administration reversed their decision and Ms. Permuy will be staying with us. It has been an exhausting road to get here but I am relieved that her years of dedication were finally recognized. Let us keep offering her our support as things return to normal in the classroom.

Today learned about an inadvertent mistake that Ms. Permuy made as she smoked an e-cigarette while her computer camera was still on. understand that to make matters worst, some students filmed her and then posted it on social media. I can only imagine how mortified she must feel about this regretful situation. I want to express the tremendous admiration and respect many of us have for Ms. Permuy and show our complete support for her during this difficult time. She is by far one of the best, if not the best teacher at St. Agnes. She is very intelligent, creative, truly cares about the kids and engages them in a way that few educators can. know that there are countless families that feel the same. I truly hope that our school administration and community will be understanding and full of forgiveness so that Ms. Permuy can continue enriching the minds of our students in the same positive way she has always done.

The administration is watching these numbers climb and they cannot ignore the weight of our collective support. We are pushing toward two hundred fifty signatures and I need you to pass this link along to someone else before the day is out. It has been a long week but your dedication to Ms. Permuy keeps me going.

No me parece lógico de un colegio catolico, que un docente se quede sin trabajo, por una falta de este tipo. Una medida de este estilo sería bastante hipócrita de parte de la institución.

Ms. Permuy is one of the best teachers at St. Agnes. My daughter Ava Simone was challenged and taught well by her. What happened was a mistake - should not be a terminal one.

Extraordinary human being that cares for the well being of our kids. She motivated, inspired and truly educated my son. Please be considerate with this real educator. We need more teachers as Ms. Permuy in this world.

Ms Permuy is a great teacher and it’s of our familiy’s opinion that she shouldn’t be put through this situation for something that it’s not against the school’s regulations and it’s not a crime nor immoral.

My son was lucky to have Mrs Permuy, she is an excellent teacher , what happened was a stupid mistake that anyone can make, that doesn’t speak of her as a person, I hope the authorities reconsider this, it would be so unfair to let her go because of this.

It is regretful that this is even being a subject of discussion. Firstly she is an excellent teacher. There was no harm in her action. I am more worried about real issues that should have more precedence to this and bothered by the fact that some students decided to go the sensasionalistic approach by posting social media. They should be made aware that today media is powerful and they are being detrimental to a good teacher’s career gratuitously. I hope that these kids never make a mistake that is sensasionalized and keeps them from going to a college of their choice or something similar. Lets concentrate on real issues. Lets make sure kids are really learning and things function seamlessly.

The kids should be scolded for online bullying
