Support for Continued Science Based Wildlife Management

I support hunting in the State of Florida.

THE WAY YOU HANDLE TAKING CARE OF OUR MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IS TO SEND IN BLOOD HUNGRY HUNTERS TO USE WHATEVER METHOD THEY SEE FIT TO MURDER OUR BEARS AND OR OTHER CREATURES. WHEN YOU COME UP WITH A HUMANE WAY TO END THEIR LIVES WITHOUT SUFFERING AND WITHOUT LEAVING THEIR BABIES BEHIND TO SUFFER AND DIE, THEN I MIGHT SUPPORT YOU. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO SHOOTING THEM WITH DARTS AND GIVING THEM THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE? PLEASE USE ANOTHER METHOD TO HELP CONTROL OUR STATE ANIMALS.

You have got to be kidding! No support for your inept incompetent management practices. You should all lose your jobs and whoever gave you those jobs should lose their job too. You guys are worthless.

Your organization created a carousel of hunter/killers in the chaos of a circus around the state! The profound and irretrievable damage, the culling of one bear too many and the disgrace of it all!

NO I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS INSANE EXCUSE FOR HUNTING DOWN BEARS....YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS REASONABLE WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!? ..... IT IS NOT!!!! LEAVE THE BEARS AND ALL WILDLIFE ALONE.....

Science based conservation is one of the biggest success stories of all time - it's essential to all good wildlife management.

No way should the governmental bureaucracy get involved in this, they've screwed things up bad enough already in everything else!

I do not support the FWC and especially not their criminal Bear hunt! I do not support granting authority over any public domain to governmental agencies, especially corrupt ones like the FWC!

What you have perpetrated on the wildlife of Florida is despicable. In fact, it is a crime against not only our country's wildlife, it is crime against Florida residents who overwhelmingly are against this massacre of their bears. This must end.

Something isn't scientific just because you call it scientific. The FWC is a "good ole boy" club and one that does NOT focus on conservation. Indeed, Priddy is poised to make a lot of money on personal deals she is using a public office to push through. These people are criminals!

Scott and his Administration have been a terrible setback for Florida's wildlife. The people who were scientists have been replaced by cronies and hunters. The statistics of endangered species have been manipulated at will. The philosophy that parks and natural areas provide nothing and need to pay their way is something that arrived with Scott and his henchmen. All that matters now is the almighty dollar....and killing bears makes money. Public education to keep food away from bears is silly....just shoot them! Cut the trees, sell the properties, and we will all have more money! We can show the grandkids pictures of what Florida USED to look like.

Stop killing wildlife! Respect nature! Live and let live! Killing is NOT conservation!

I'll support FWC when they actually implement a science-based management system instead of the political-based system currently in place. I realize they are receiving the same unreasonable pressures from our governor who's main governing principle seems to be spite. But they are still beholden to the mandate of preserving our natural resources and wildlife. Please do the right thing and begin actually protecting our public lands.

Those of us who have dedicated our lives and careers to science-based research fields know that the FWC's decisions are often NOT research based. The current panel of FWC commissioners are not making decisions that reflect any interest in protecting our state's endangered and threatened animals. Nice try with the bogus petition, though. You may be surprised to learn that the majority of petition signers actually do READ the petitions before adding our names.

MAJORITY of Floridians ARE AGAINST the BEAR HUNT but Governor Scott and his henchmen at the FWC don't listen nor do they care. I DON"T WANT another Bear hunt, I am outraged how the last one was nothing but a mismanaged massacre by some bloodthirsty people who call themselves hunters. You call that science based hunt ??? Only wimps will kill innocent Bears, mother and cubs. We need to save and protect our eco-system and we can't do it without the Bear !!! FWC is doing a terrible job and I will NOT VOTE FOR ANOTHER BEAR HUNT !!!

You people at the FWC are sick!! Rick "The Prick" Scott has only appointed you as payback for supporting him. You could care less about Florida's wildlife and keeping Florida wild. You are all developers, hunters, lawyers, landowners. Nary a conservationist or environmentalist in sight, but of course they would not befriend the worst governor in Florida's history. Somebody needs to clean house, starting with Scott and then all of you. The people have spoken and do not want another bear hunt, but here you are trying to garner support for one. You call anyone who opposes you a "special interest." Well, call me a special interest, because I have a special interest in protecting Florida and its wildlife.

This is as click bait as it gets! You guys and our Voldemort governor haven't just decided to slaughter native bears in the name of development and exploitation of our natural resources but now you're going after the few panthers that remain. Your agency and commission are frauds and downright evil. Science-based my a**--this petition is total misrepresentation of what should be your mission.

We need all the help we can get

I urge you to not allow for another FL black bear hunt to take place in the future. We can agree that the recent hunt was mismanaged and innocent bears needlessly, and in some cases, inhumanely lost their lives. Mother bears were killed, bears were baited and many cubs were left orphaned. This was a barbaric trophy hunt and I'm extremely opposed to it. I can say with certainty that if you want to raise money in order to conserve, protect, help rehabilitate wildlife, and educate the public on how to co-exist with black bears and wildlife in general, you would receive a lot of support from thousands of people who strongly believe we need to salvage what wildlife is left in Florida. It's time we all work together to preserve the nature and wildlife Florida has to offer. Thank you.
