The legislature finally backed down and confirmed that management stays with the FWC. I am genuinely exhausted from this fight but the outcome makes the long struggle worth it. Keep your eyes open because we need to ensure this stays exactly where it belongs.

With the increasing influence from special interests and political agents attempting to snatch control of our natural resources in Florida and offer them to the highest bidder, now more than ever we as Floridians need to support our wildlife agency and send a clear message to Tallahassee that our resources and our traditions are not for sale.

Rick Scott and our Florida Legislature that you support the continued management of our natural resources and outdoor recreation to the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission. You tell our governor and law makers that only the FWC and their staff have the constitutional authority and the expertise to do the job we entrust them to do without the influence of politics or special interests. The pressure from special interests keeps mounting and my patience for their games is running thin. We are nearing a hundred signatures but we need a stronger showing to prove that these resources are not for sale. Push this out to your circles right now because we cannot afford to lose momentum.

Science based conservation is one of the biggest success stories of all time - it's essential to all good wildlife management.
FWC has my approval and need to be left alone to better manage our fragile "native" game from over population and mismanaged game.
Although I sometimes worry about science based management it is preferable to emotionally driven or popularity poll based management that some would prefer.
The FWC is doing a bang-up job managing the fish and wildlife resources in the state of Florida. Good on them for allowing a bear hunt now that there is a huntable population.
Please pass legislation to make game laws based upon scientific research and not on emotion. Michigan did this in 1996 with the passing of Proposal G.
I support hunting in the State of Florida.
THE WAY YOU HANDLE TAKING CARE OF OUR MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IS TO SEND IN BLOOD HUNGRY HUNTERS TO USE WHATEVER METHOD THEY SEE FIT TO MURDER OUR BEARS AND OR OTHER CREATURES. WHEN YOU COME UP WITH A HUMANE WAY TO END THEIR LIVES WITHOUT SUFFERING AND WITHOUT LEAVING THEIR BABIES BEHIND TO SUFFER AND DIE, THEN I MIGHT SUPPORT YOU. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO SHOOTING THEM WITH DARTS AND GIVING THEM THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE? PLEASE USE ANOTHER METHOD TO HELP CONTROL OUR STATE ANIMALS.

Thank you for the work you do and please continue. I also ask that you continue working on our access and wildlife issues we have with the NPS i the Big Cypress. We have continuously lost access and non stop regulations making it harder and harder to hunt or camp in the Cypress.
