The ATRSC President, ms. Nadine Percival, has without membership discussion, decided to change the format of how the website will display BIS/RIS/B4C winners. Breeders of the animals are no longer being given their due credit for breeding such wonderful animals and only exhibitors will be receiving credit on the website. This has been done because a few board members are stating it is a form of "advertisement". I know it does not seem like a big issue, but most breeders would like the simple recognition of breeding a winner, since our hobby doesn't have many "perks" or "bonuses" to being a breeder and being recognized on the national club website is just a respectful way of being thanked for putting the time and effort into the breed we all love so much. A few breeders have stated that wanting to be recognized as the breeder of the animal is taking away from the owner's win, especially if it's a youth exhibitor, but most of us see it as the exhibitor thanking the breeder for selling them such a fine animal. If you are opposed to this sudden change, please sign so that we can show our directors and president that the breeders deserve recognition.

Updates

October 24, 2011

I have been hearing from so many of you who feel the same sting of being erased from the accomplishments you worked years to produce. We are currently working on a formal letter to present these signatures to the board because our contributions to the breed are not just advertisements.

Seeing this level of support for breeder recognition is honestly overwhelming. It proves that I am not alone in believing our work deserves to be acknowledged on the national site.

This is rediculous. The breeders put in all the long hours and hard work. They deserve a little bit of credit on the site it doesnt hurt anyone.

WHY change things that werent broken? Breeders are the backbone of this club. Give them their credit back.

Sad to see the breeders getting pushed to the side. It takes years to build a line and a small name mention on the website is the least they could do.
