Not to be dramatic but doing BE crew was one of the most formative experiences of my life

My children were crew members who received scholarships to row in college. This is great sport for the students & should remain a team at Eustate!

This team meant more to me than I can explain. I went on to row in college because of the joy that this team brought me. It gave me more than just a workout. It was about community, friendship, support, progress, and the unmistakable bond that comes with being in a boat where everyone shares the same goal as you. Save Eustace Crew!!

Eustace is a prep school on a river, it would be embarrassing to not have a crew program. Also, no sport teaches resilience and teamwork like rowing.

I hope there is a way!!

This program should not be cut. The amount of discipline and hard work I have learned from rowing at BE has set me up on a successful life path. Do not take this opportunity away from BE students.

Save the crew team!

Please keep the crew team! I owe so much to this team.

Rowing is so crucial to the sports atmosphere at Bishop Eustace!

Absolutely no reason to cut such a vital program. Please keep it.

I think this sport is a draw for potential students. With the river and the boat house so close to campus, we should have a team. it would be a shame if we didn't. I think if there is a problem with interest, the school should promote it differently and encourage young rowers to apply to our school.

Please consider keeping crew - sports are a life saver

Please keep crew part of the sports at BE. The sport provides lifelong friendships and opens many doors. I have been involved with rowing since 1971 and it is a life changing sport.

I urge BE to keep the crew team! For our daughter, the BE Crew team was her most valuable experience at BE. She was capt at BE and in college. Today she’s a asst women’s crew coach at William Smith College. I work at Citi; I know firsthand that employers hire with crew experience over others. Why? Crew provides students with valuable lessons in working as a group, time management, endurance and resilience. Crew demands commitment. Crew teams have high gpas. You know as an employer you’re getting someone who has discipline and a strong work ethic. Many stay with the sport as adults. It is a desirable activity for many colleges and offers scholarships. And as a parent it was the crew community that made me feel connected to BE. We worked hours at fundraising and supporting the team at regattas.

I would be an atrocity for BE Crew to fold!

Crew is the best thing to happen in many young people’s lives, don’t take away the opportunity!

Crew has been life changing for me and it started because of this team. The school needs to support the program, find qualified coaches, and encourage people to join.

This was the best sport and the most amazing community ever. Out of all the sports my kids did, this was the best 4 years ever. Please don’t take this away from these young men and woman. It’s such a team building sport as well
