Agora Crisis Center at the University of NM is the oldest campus-based crisis line in the country. Since 1970, volunteers at Agora have been providing free, compassionate, confidential help to anyone in need of emotional support. We train over 150 volunteers per year and answer nearly 10,000 calls from people on campus and throughout the state of New Mexico. Additionally, Agora provides community education on topics such as suicide awareness and prevention to schools, churches, community organizations and other state Universities and colleges. Agora's future is in jeopardy due to funding cuts at the University. Please show your support for Agora's continued funding at UNM by signing this petition today! We are approaching the 250 signature threshold required to finalize our formal briefing document for the University administration. I need you to direct this link to colleagues who prioritize campus mental health services to ensure we hit that target before we submit the folder.

We are approaching the one hundred signature mark which serves as the threshold for our upcoming meeting with the university administration. Please send the link to your professional contacts to ensure we reach this total before my draft of the formal funding request is submitted.

I volunteered there years ago and saw firsthand how much work goes into it. UNM needs to get their priorities straight.

Please keep funding them. They helped my brother when he had no one else to talk to. Such a vital service for our state.
