Save 5 Pointz from its demise. Art is art no matter what form and just because it is not accepted by society as a whole doesn't mean it should be overlooked our deemed a "derelict establishment"

Graffiti is part of New York's history, and a big reason I like to visit there. New York needs more public space dedicated to art, not more fancy high rises. I've never seen 5 Pointz in person, but I'd love to, it is a tourist attraction, high rises are not. Don't demolish something the city is famous for to build more boring apartments.

I am a poet from Brooklyn. I used to attend a college in Queens NYC, passing 5Poiintz, was an amazing experience, so one day i got off at court square walking around the property of this amazing art work i have never seen before in my life, seen my old art teacher got a tour of the inside of this building meeting some of MOMA's artist and watched a few artists painting. The experience is so surreal to watch something become of nothing. Now with a new canvas maybe we can begin a new era of art forms that reach from the sky. save this canvas for the new masters of yesteryear. We are the masters of our design we are the anarchy and the plasma of art. lets do something about it.
