Demostrating community support for the B4RN fibre broadband project

In addition to previous comments, increased working from home due to the COVID situation makes a strong internet connection even more important!

Be great to get decent internet.
Run the fibre up the railway to where it intersects with either station road or demage. Running cabling over various farmland is problematic.

I think a lot of the councillors are farmers and object to the cables going through their land using a drag through mole
Which only buries it relatively shallow which dosnt work to well for arable farmers

The council should be supporting the B4RN project as BT and other providers are not showing much interest in providing the village with a reliable, high speed internet service

I am shocked by the stance taken by our parish council which simply equates to a kick in the teeth for the residents of this community from those who are in, and should be, representing us.
Broadband in this area is totally inadequate and as a current home worker, I would concur with others with respect its poor performance and inability to serve the needs of those who use it and who urgently require improvement in order to support their livelihood.
The parish council decision lacks vision, understanding and empathy.
Rural communities country wide have successfully come together to address this broadband issue. Decent broadband is now a necessary utility, it is not a luxury or ‘nice to have’. Why can’t we achieve this too and proudly replicate the success of others?
It would be suggested that in the absence of a change of heart by our parish council then a full ‘Covid safe’ public meeting should be arranged to include representatives from other locally affected parish councils and residents, perhaps our local MP, in order that we may find a resolution to this sad issue.

B4RN is a community project to bring Lea's broadband connectivity up to 21st Century standards. It deserves all the support we can give it.

We really need to have future proof broad band speed in our village and a reasonable cost. Their is no real competition for broadband in our village as we held to pricing ransom bu BT and their subsidiary EE

The Broadband speed is poor and drops out regularly which is a problem for someone who works from home.

It is not easy to predict the future but one thing is certain the access to data is key for our local businesses for our community and out children’s education please recognise this and support the program
