I know nurses that work remote areas and have been treated at a community healthcentre when I've had an accident....there is so much need for extra staff, both for the public and the nurses. PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMITTMENT!

How many years has this been an ongoing issue? Decades now! But where to find nurses with the skills to fill these jobs and willing to move north.

As a rural resident of the Yukon relying on the Carcross Health Centre for advice and treatment, I know how busy all the Centres are, especially in the summer. Please fully staff all our Community Health Centres.

Please ensure that clients of ADS attend the Unity Group of AA in order to become connected to this group in their own communities prior to leaving treatment. This videoconferencing group is a lifeline for clients returning to their communities, and costs the Yukon Government nothing. Reducing relapse in the communities will also reduce the stress on the Community Health Centres. Clients in treatment need to experience this group prior to leaving treatment, in order to feel comfortable with the video conferencing meetings in the health centres in our Yukon communities. Please ensure that they get this experience while at ADS.

our community nursing station really needs stable, full time nurses who get to know us, and learn our health history and needs without the prejudice that we are all drug seekers. That attitude is going end up killing someone in our community and that is scary.

I am a resident in beaver creek. A second nurse would be very beneficial for the communities. Our regular full time nurses are taking on too much responsibility without any relief. How can we expect them to be productive and efficient on a daily basis when they are on call 24/7 .
