Non-permeable under-utilized blacktop vs. athletic field? That is a no-brainer! This school is easily accessed by bus and metro.

Mr Mayor et al: PLEASE support this very worthwhile endeavor. The success of Stuart Hobson as a first-class middle schools is ABSOLUTELY VITAL to the continuing evolution of Capitol Hill (and DC in general) as a place that families can stay and raise their children rather than leave for the 'burbs! Replacing parking lots with playing fields is a key part of that initiative. Thank you!

as a Little League coach and manager for several years, I am very much aware of how badly additional sports fields are needed on Capitol Hill. but of course our mayor and most of the council have been so bewitched by the economic clout of single 20- and 30-somethings that they barely acknowledge the burgeoning population of children on the Hill and in other parts of the city. yet one more reason for parents with school age children to consider leaving DC for more child-friendly places.

We need more fields. This will be a great resource for a booming neighborhood.

I am a Capitol Hill resident and I think athletic space on Capitol Hill is a great idea. It will be a place where our youth can spend valuable time playing sports and being constructive. Seeing the kids play football and soccer at Watkins is great and shows a sence of community.

Even though we don't live on the hill we reley on Sports on the Hill to provide our boys with healthy, quality sports activities. One thing missing has been quality field space. This part of the city needs more access to better fields.

Parks and recreation need to be added to city spaces or unfortunately the Hill will look like NOMA. Too many people and not enough park space.
