Support your volunteer fire company
To the Residents of Asbury Terrace, Franklin Towers, The Courts, Hudson Harbor, and Miller Park and all .
We, the members of Riverside Hose Company No. 4, proudly serving the Tarrytown community for 125 years, are reaching out to ask for your support.
As part of our 125th Anniversary celebration, we are planning a community carnival this September in the lot next to the ballpark by the Tarrytown Boat Club. This event is both a celebration of our legacy and a fundraiser to support vital volunteer fire services.
Unfortunately, Village Administrator Richard Slingerland, Mayor Karen Brown, and members of the Village Board, including Trustee Becky McGovern, have denied our request, citing concerns about the potential impact on local residents. We believe this family-friendly community event can bring joy and pride to our village and hope you feel the same.
We ask for your support by signing our petition in favor of allowing this important event to proceed. Your support sends a message of appreciation to your first responders, and helps continue the tradition of service that has protected Tarrytown for over a century.
If you wish to voice your support directly, you may contact:

Trustee Becky McGovern – bmcgovern@tarrytowngov.com

Thank you for standing with your local volunteer firefighters.
With appreciation,
The Members of Riverside Hose Company No. 4
