I support White River National Wildlife Refuge's proposed “Acquisition Boundary Expansion".

We have a once in a generation opportunity to acquire wildlife rich bottomland habitat bordering our White River NWR. We can acquire it using our own sportsman derived funds like “duck stamps" (not general tax dollars) from willing sellers.

We desperately needs this expansion plan approved. Arkansas’ Delta region originally contained 8 million acres of forested wetlands. Today only about 10% of those forested wetlands remain in a collection of highly fragmented forests, one of which is Arkansas’ very own White River NWR.

I strongly urge you to ensure that this acquisition plan is approved. If we do not act now we may lose this important opportunity to build upon the ecological success of White River NWR. Success that has not only benefited wildlife habitat but also Arkansas sportsman, and wildlife enthusiasts.
