The Venezuelan American community thanks members of Congress for their bipartisan support to aid the people of Venezuela in their transition back to democracy. We call on all members of Congress and President Trump to support this important legislation that will help provide much need humanitarian assistance while helping aid efforts to restore democracy in Venezuela by increasing sanctions on Maduro regime officials and their stolen national resources which belong to the people of Venezuela. Venezuela is currently invaded by the Cubans with their military boarding the Venezuelan military, the ELN and FARC from Colombia, Hezbola, Iran taking our Uranium to build nuclear weapons, Turkey taking our gold which the regime arranged since they have no money thanks to the sanctions placed by the USA and other nations to stop the regime from stealing the Venezuelan money and wealth, the Chinese because the Regime is in deep debt with all the loans they placed our country in so they could rob it, and the Russians because of also a large dent the regime got our country and because this would place them closer to the greater power: the USA the regime destroyed the economy so they could control the minds of the people, took away the arms from the people and gave it to the colectivos (thugs) so these colectivos go an kill or shoot any Venezuelan who tries to protest, the media, TV, radio, newspapers are under the regime’s control. The electrical power goes on an off unexpectedly and repeatedly because the regime took the money supposed to maintain the electrical plants and instead purchase some outdated material and now the conditions are a disgrace causing constant blackouts. As a result, there is no water. Schools, jobs, shut down with lack of power, water, and now gasoline. There is no food, medicine, safety, hospitals have no medical supplies, many of the medical equipment is down because of lack of maintenance, vehicles are less and less being driven because of lack of batteries and tires or spares to maintain them including the oil change which is outrageously expensive. Not one thing works. People have lost an average of 8 Kgs last year, and 30% of babies die at birth. As a result of all this at least 10% of the population has migrated and continue to migrate. Families have been separated. The elderly are left behind. We pray to God Guaido and his team finds a way to our freedom. I’m the mean time, Humanitarian Aid is critically needed and so is the defe
