I was born and raised in this community and don’t want to deal with the air, soil and water degradation associated with a redevelopment project that is not offset with green building design and pavement that allows water to return to the ground.

In April of 2022, the Board of Regents held their first-ever sustainability-focused meeting. A few fellow students and I made the case for climate action now; we received a standing applause and a charge from the Board of Regents to hold them accountable when it comes to sustainability and climate action. This is an opportunity to prove that the Regents listened that day.
