This virus has hurt a lot of our incomes. I'm barely getting by to even pay for my rent and food. Please do take this into account. Due to lockdown its becoming next to impossible to bring money as well. Keeping all this in mind, it would be a kind gesture to reduce our tuition.

we signed this petition to request discount at 50% for this semester 2 tuition. given that the lectures that are closed and face-to-face lectures are changed to online classes. Regarding the Covid 19 pandemic, many of us (including me) also experienced salary cuts, due to the decline in the turnover of the company where I worked, which was engaged in the restaurant business. We hope your wisdom for this situation. Thank you in advance for your kind attention. Best Regards, Kartika D.

I absolutely support this petition as a concerned parent of an international student currently enrolled at APU. Needless to say losing job is one thing but not being able to go out and finding extra income is the most difficult part especially if the Goverment had shut down most business. Please consider this petition that had affected people globally the last thing we want to do is to come to this point to beg for the petition and consideration but it left us no choice.

“My husband and I have recently been fired from our jobs because of the coronavirus. So currently, we are struggling to pay the tuition fee for our 3 kids, including my daughter who is currently studying in APU. It would be a great help if APU is able to lower the tuition fee, as everyone is struggling too and since the classes will be online, it is right to lower the tuition fee.”

I believe that the Covid-19 has disrupt our lives, which is why Ritsumeikan APU should support their students in different kinds of matter. We are hoping to hear great news for the university.

The situation in Indonesia is getting very terrible. It’s strongly advised to have self quarantine at home - meaning that my parents cannot go out to get more Japanese Yen for the tuition (at least for the past months until now). Meanwhile, IDR to JPY (Indonesian Rupiah to Japanese Yen) conversion rate is SO bad that much more money is needed to get the same amount of Japanese Yen. At the same time, more than 5 baito places have refused to hire me due to this corona virus situation. The situation has began to be more terrible for many people and I believe there are people with the same situation as me.

Due to the outbreak situation, I'm unable to go back to Japan which means I am paying for my apartment that I am not even staying in for many months. It would be great if APU could help us reduce the tuition fee, since the outbreak puts me (and many other people) into an unstable income.

I hope that Oita koutsu bus also extend the period of the one-year bus pass for another 3 months. becuase we already paid 100,000 yen for the one year bus-pass.

Please consider our economic situation

The university needs to show empathy and consider its students who are going through economic hardships during this tough time. There needs to be an action whether it's extending tuition payment deadline or granting reduction to those badly affected by the pandemic

Currently I stuck in beppu, I tried to go back to my country and couldn’t due to airports closed. My baito place also doesn’t provide shifts anymore due to lack of customers. I live here with rent, insurance, foods and many more expenses only. Please consider this requests and hope we’ll get a reasonable answer. Thank you very much.
