Hold Your Horses has been providing Equine Assisted Programs for adults, children, and people with special needs to the Henderson and greater Las Vegas community since 2018. We have been approved by the City of Henderson Planning Commission for a Conditional Use Permit for a Stable and Riding Academy (education/lessons and boarding) to allow us to keep 8 horses on the property, to offer additional types of classes, and limited boarding. But the decision is being appealed by a neighbor. The appeal will be heard by the City of Henderson City Council on March 1st.
If you have enjoyed your interactions with Kim and David as well as Misty, Silver, Bobby, Zorro and Gwen, and have found your time with us to be beneficial to you and your family, we would greatly appreciate your support! Please sign this petition to let Henderson's City Council know that our community needs Hold Your Horses and the services we provide!
Also, we have been told that it is very important to have as many supporters present at the appeal hearing as possible.We know it is a lot to ask, but our ability to continue offering these programs may depend on it. If you are able to attend the meeting, it would be much appreciated! Speakers are allowed up to 3 minutes each. But even if you don't want to speak, it would be great if you could just be there with us. Having a large group of people there in person will create the most impact.

We just hit 250 signatures and it is clear that this community will not be bullied by one neighbor who wants to shut down our work. The City Council needs to see that we are not going away quietly. Keep the pressure on them until they decide to protect this program.

Kim and David are the KINDEST PEOPLE I know. The property is always SPOTLESS and CLEAN. The atmosphere is always PEACEFUL, RELAXING, and FRIENDLY. The horses are even more friendly! Henderson needs "Hold Your Horses" to continue thriving and serving our veterans, those with special needs, and everyone else who benefits greatly!
Hold Your Horses provides vital horse therapy to the community at large. I’ve attended several “meditation with horses” events and they are always conducted in a peaceful and respectful manner to the surrounding neighborhood.
As mother of an autistic kid I have struggled finding services, programs and therapy for my son. He loves animals and he enjoys riding horses. It helps him with anxiety. Please continue with this program. We need more programs like this for our special kids. Thank you
This place has been such a healing and magical experience. I have witnessed adults with special needs as well as children connect with the beautiful sounds and horses. This would be tragic to not have available or access to something like this for our community.
Hold your Horses is a wonderful asset to the community!!! I would go to yoga and meditation with horses to deal with the stresses of being a teacher and it helps me so much!!!
My son Joel has autism and I find that he connects to horses. There are not many things that he enjoys doing but horses always bring a smile to his face and joy!
At a time when people need to support one another and mental health concerns are on the rise, this is a beautiful way to help!

I live down the street from you. I don’t have animals on my property but I did grow up on a farm. In my opinion if our neighbors don’t care for the more rural aspects of our neighborhood there are plenty of gated communities out there for them to choose from. I hope you are successful.
