Our superintendent of DCSD did not consult anyone in declining to sign this petition. DCSD has $275M in unmet capital needs. it is irresponsible for DCSD to not ask for additional funds.

Pick a side Superintendent. DCSD has 275M in capital needs but you refused to sign this based on the allocation (according to your rambling email to the parents). Math is the same whether it's GVC or not. 0%

This is yet another case where DCSD administration is making decisions based on their own petty agenda rather than what's best for the students and stakeholders in the community

It has become obvious to me that the DCSD superintendent and board believe their primary function is lobbying the legislature rather than managing our school district's needs, expenses, and operations. Although I am not surprised that they are not particularly effective at lobbying, either; making this bizarre political point (by not signing the joint superintendents' letter about receiving more state funds until the funding formula is revamped to Douglas County's favor) sends the signal that they are unwilling to compromise for any reason -- including the benefit of our children.

As a parent, voter and taxpayer in Douglas County, I do not appreciate fagen's lack of integrity in her decision to deny educational funding to our community's children.
