Thank you for your reasoned and tolerant decision to allow the Simpson College Shooting Sports Club to hire a shooting sports coach and recruiter.

Every other team/activity on campus has a coach/teacher. They deserve one too.

I support this program and others like it. I would like to point out to those concerned the huge mistake you are making by associating this activity with criminal behavior. The two have nothing to do with each other.

A correlation between gun crime and clay target shooting sports is absurd. My duaghter is considere Simpson because they have a team.

I fully support this team and the work their students have done to create a respectable program. Anything I can do to help please let me know.

The club is popular so obviously students are interested in this activity. Shooting is a sport bonafide sport and the participants and leaders should not be vilified because of some fear driven individuals.

Teaching responsible attitudes and actions should be part of school policy. This should extend to every facet of adult life, be it social, financial, or automobile and firearm ownership and use. I urge the Board of Trustees to go forward with your plans to expand the shooting sports program at Simpson College. Larry Fry Great Bend, KS

"Shall nor be infringed." Not by any government or a bunch of college age Beta-males. That is all.

Most gun owners today don't live on a farm or have a hill to shoot at. They need a club like this.

I see no reason to oppose the existence of a club dedicated to the safe, lawful pursuit of the shooting sports, which are proud to be sanctioned by the international and U.S. Olympic Committees. Confusing the club's activities with those of criminals as part of the "gun culture" is like lumping NASCAR drivers and drunk drivers into the "car culture." Good luck to the Simpson College Shooting Sports Club!
