Safety of the children is most important and a lollipop person is required on such a busy road.

My daughter goes this school as did my son. I have seen numerous near misses and one or two children actually being knocked over, thankfully not serious. I have also banged on the back of a van that decided to reverse without looking and mounted the pavement!!! The safety of our children is paramount yet we appear to be waiting for something more serious to occur before putting in measures to keep our children safe.

There was always a lollipop lady or man at the road outside this school even as far back as 1970's. Why on earth they think in these days of more and more traffic that they don't need one is beyond any rational thinking! It's about time that these children's lives were protected for the sake of a small wage!

Hi. Thanks for organising this. My children cross that road every day and it is sometimes dangerous. I live at 269 just by the crossing. Regards. Lukas

I fully agree it's a dangerous crossing, and an accident waiting to happen. I'm retired now and would love to do the part time job.

The safety of children is paramount and cuts in budgets can not be put in front of this. Let's not take action after a child has been knocked down.

This is so important, I have used this road when working near by, stopped at the gates to allow children and parents to cross and the cars coming in the opposite direction have not stopped
Perhaps it needs a zebra crossing

Absolutely essential; don't forget a child was actually knocked down shortly after the removal of the previous patrol! Also need one on the main road as traffic often jumps the red light. Even better idea would be to block access to the top of Old Liverpool Road, thereby removing the traffic menace; I'm sure the residents would welcome such a move.

My daughter goes to this school and I have seen a few close calls involving idiot drivers early in the morning. Inxlyding one person actually getting knocked down by a driver failing to stop. If they can't bring back the lollipop crossing attendants, maybe a proper zebra or pedestrian crossing should be installed. Something where tragic HAS to stop to let children cross rather than just as a courtesy.
