Support the reinstatement of Gilbert Orban at Marsh Supermarket in Lawrence

Gilbert Orban has served Marsh Supermarket, and the Lawrence community well for the past 20+ years. Some people have even retired after serving this long at a job. Whatever the management's reasoning could be for his dismissal, it pales in comparison to the years of hard work and dedication he has had for his job. I feel he should be re-instated to his job immediately.

Bring him back!!!!

I remember shopping marsh with my mother when I was as little as my own child is now. I never forgot Gilbert, and now my child knows Gilbert! If you live in Lawrence you know who he is...so sad.

Give the man back his job , good people are hard to find ! I don't know this man but he must be very special !! GOOD LUCKY MR GILBERT , hope this is successful !!!

I haven't lived in this neighborhood in years but felt compelled to sign this. Just the name Gilbert and I knew who it was for! Gilbert used to always say hi and had a big smile on his face every time I went to the store with my mom as a kid. Lots of fond memories. He is the big smiling face in your establishment and I for one will not support a company who won't support it's own valuable members of their community. So much for being my neighborhood grocer.

I worked with Gilbert for over for years. And I've known him for many more. No, he might not be what everyone calls normal, but he is an integral part of our community, and a main staple of the marsh brand. Put him back to work!

Put Gilbert back to work. He is a nice guy and a good worker.

People like Gilbert are the reason some of us shop at stores like Marsh. Not all of us shop at retail locations just because of their prices, how their stores look, or whether or not they have a card to cheapen our purchases. People make the company, not the opposite. If you take away the people that make your company the place the shoppers wish to visit, you will quickly kill at least a good percentage of your customer base.

This is beyond ridiculous, a loyal worker and a good person and you fire him for no REASON just because of new managment after him working there for 25 years. !!!!!!! Come on Marsh that's Harsh

Over a silly joke??! he is the reason MANY of us went there! If anyone needs fired it needs to be the cashiers that don't greet you or even say a word to you! guess I'm done shopping at marsh!

From what I understand he played a joke on someone by hiding their hat. Having said that the last couple times I'd spoken with him they had been cutting back his hours substantially so this sounds like an excuse to get rid of him.

Gilbert is the best part of Marsh!

I have known Gilbert since I was a little girl!! He would NEVER hurt a fly! He always helped both of my of grandmother's to their cars with their groceries! It breaks my heart to hear that they fired him! #teamgilbert

when i think of marsh the first thing that comes to mind is Gilbert at the age of four with my grandpa he was the first friendly face i meet. now i am 25 years of age i can't believe you would let such a generous selfless person go! Shows how much you appreciated a person who would go out of his way to help someone else i will no longer be a customer until Gilbert has returned with his friendly face !

I have known Gilbert since I was young age and shop at marsh all the time. The first thing out of my daughters mouth is "wheres Mr . Gilbert mommy? He always gives my kids a high five, asks them about school and calls them little turkeys lol! He is a good guy trying to make a honest living, resign to get his job back and make the promise to not shop at Marsh until he does!

He is always been a good person and great employee .

Gilbert has been a faitful worker for years i will not shop here at Marsh until he is rehired
