Support The Quadrant B/14/0165
BUSA officials are appealing for support of the proposed Community Stadium development at The Quadrant by launching a petition for supporters to sign.
With Boston Borough Council’s special planning committee set to convene on August 5, time is of the essence for United fans to throw their backing behind the proposals.
BUSA chairman Glen Chapman said: “It is important that planning permission for The Quadrant is passed and we need to generate as much support as possible from fans of Boston United.
“It really is a simple situation — if planning is not passed, it could well be the end for Boston United.
“I do not think anybody with the club at heart wants that to happen, so I would urge everybody to write a letter of support and sign a petition backing the development.”
Supportive comments can be submitted to Boston Borough Council via their website (www.boston.gov.uk), by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by letter (Planning Services, Boston Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston, PE21 8QR). Planning application reference B/14/0165 should be quoted.
The Quadrant proposals include plans for around 500 new homes to help meet housing needs and will create over 400 full-time jobs and more than 600 construction jobs. The project will also deliver the first part of what could become a distributor road, providing a possible solution to some of Boston’s traffic flow issues.
The project website (www.thequadrantboston.co.uk) provides full details of how comments can be submitted to the council and also includes the submitted stadium plans.
