Support the Proposed Mixed-Use Development at 515-519 Park Drive in Kenilworth: Revitalize Our Community and Boost Local Revenue!
We, the undersigned residents, business owners, and supporters of Kenilworth, urge the Village Board of Trustees to approve the preliminary Planned Unit Development (PUD) application submitted by RED3 Development LLC for 515-519 Park Drive. This thoughtful four-story mixed-use building will enhance our Business District by blending traditional architectural elements—like pitched roofs and gabled forms—with modern features such as storefront glazing, outdoor seating, and recessed balconies. The design steps back at the fourth level to maintain a pedestrian-friendly scale, fully encloses parking to eliminate visible surface lots, and adds landscaping and direct pedestrian access to activate the street and public realm.
This project promotes economic revitalization through flexible commercial spaces, increases residential density near transit and amenities, and respects Kenilworth’s character while contributing to the vibrancy of the block. Importantly, it could increase the property taxes paid on these properties by close to $400,000 annually, providing a significant boost to our local budget for community services and improvements.
For more details on the proposal, including elevations and the full application, visit the official Village of Kenilworth project page: https://www.vok.org/2566/515-519-Park-Drive—Planned-Unit-Development.
By approving this PUD, Kenilworth can foster sustainable growth, support local businesses, and create a more dynamic neighborhood—while helping us compete with other North Shore communities that have been more successful in developing and revitalizing their areas. Sign now to show your support ahead of the Village Board’s continued review on January 26, 2026!
