You're from Fiji and you understood the situation but not some of the locals. Some questions to ponder:
- Why Chinese are heavily involved during the regular chariot procession if it's a caste event?
- Why does it take some 16-18 hrs for the chariot to reach temple if locals are not involved or not allowed to be involved, if it's only a caste event?
-Why does PHEB changes its regular procession time from the previous years, was it not done right before and they are mending it now for some reasons that won't require any elaboration..it's crystal clear why that's done.
But, assuring you that it's a small % of people who are doing this to highlight their political prowess which could be followed by ignorant folks, but the intent is malicious and let's see what happens next. Offer your prayers as usual, for He is great and this is a minor problem, let's not consider this a distraction...It's just an interrupt which will be mended by Himself over time...

I truly support PHEB on the issue of the golden chariot.We as Tamils need an identity and not simply let the Chettiars dictate terms.
Golden Chariot will give the Penang Tamils a sense of dignity.Thanks to PHEB n Prof Ramasamy.
