There are so many worthy causes the town can choose to support but none is more valuable than the welfare of our children.

it's a wonderful place for teens & adults to come together, take a class, meet friends. i have thoroughly enjoyed teaching yoga there, and hope to continue being part of such a great community center/space.

The Town should significantly increase funding of the Outback, not cut its funding. To do anything less is sending a message to our youth and young families that they are not valued by this community.

My middle-schooler is just come up on the years when she will be able to make use of this resource to have fun independently but safely. This is a critical time in kids' development and it is just as important for the town to fund resources like the Outback as it is to fund resources for other groups within the community. I'd love to see us follow the example of other communities in at least maintaining, if not increasing, financial support for our youth community center.

The Outback was started because of the recognized need for our youth to have a place of their own. Times have changed but this need has not. The Outback as a place for our community is more important than ever. Please join me in showing your support.

I strongly support public funding of the Outback. It is a community resource that would benefit significantly from continued, and even increased,Town support as other community agencies receive, e.g., New Canaan Library, Lapham Community Center, and New Canaan Nature Center. With the stability of financial support from Town Hall, the Outback can increase its contribution to our community's efforts to provide fun and inventive programming for our young people. Alternative social, enrichment and community service activities afterschool and on the weekends are as important as education in our community response to the challenge of underage substance abuse.

The Outback is a vital community asset. Taking away/reducing funding sends the message that youth service programs are not important. Please do not demoralize our youth!
