Proud Marion FFA Alumni; obtained an undergraduate degree in agriculture that was paid for through FFA scholarships. I obtained numerous life skills from the program to include parliamentary procedure, public speaking abilities, responsibility in caring for livestock animals, and more. Without FFA, I would not be successful within my professional career today. I respectively request for the program to remain, and to not realign/adjust in order to meet administrative goals. The students are whom will suffer, and they should be the priority.

With the strong history of the AG program why would current administration want to make changes. This same superintendent oversaw a bond construction to make improvements to AG buildings.

Fought some of these battles over the years. Problem is usually miss-informed administrators. One of the strongest and longest programs in the State.

I taught 5th Grade for 12 years . I saw, firsthand what an impact FFA had on my students throughout their lives. It would be tragic to reduce or remove FFA from rural schools. I pray that this decision will be carefully considered.

Please respect the historical farming/ranching heritage of our community by maintaining or growing the agricultural program/FFA program at Marion ISD. Our daughter is a 2012 Marion graduate and through her FFA/4H participation earned scholarships for a fully paid tuition/housing/text books for a bachelor and master degrees at an in state university. My son’s participation in the ag program led him to a bachelor degree in agriculture which ultimately resulted in him being commissioned as a Texas Game Warden. The ag program is very important to the success of our youth. Thank you

Marion is in a rural community... they are heavily Ag related and always have been. Instead of cutting parts of their programs, support them and their GROWTH. GROWTH is a GOOD thing!!!
