A bigger space and more machines would really help me learn more about digital manufacturing!

This is an important part of the education platform. The lab helps so many students. It should be something people see on a daily basis.

Internationally, FabLabs are growing exponentially and Oakland has signed on to the FAB CITY Network: at present a group of 28 cities worldwide pledging to be more locally productive and globally connected with the intention to produce everything we(Oakland) consumes by 2054...Let Laney be the incubator for students to experience the FabLab phenomenon! We need more space to grow and multiply! The notoriety for Laney would be awesome!

I think it is not only a trend for the society to go working with big data but also it is a great opportunity for student success that we have FabLab on campus.

This has been a great resource, not just for Laney students and faculty, but also for OUSD and other teachers to learn how to use the equipment. They then take that knowledge back to their own classrooms.
