Support the block grant for the JC Ag Association & continue the Family Rodeo

4h is an amazing program.

4H and FFA programs benefit kids all over this county and help to turn them into strong leaders and great communicators. Please continue this grant and the high quality programing it provides.

I fully support youth rodeos, they help build team work, communication, and unity in all children of all ages, and help to cross many boundaries in life, including racial.

Continue support of 4-H , rodeo and other agriculture related events. The animals are treated well and humanely, not like they are china statues.

Am a huge fan of rodeos. Competition is a must for kids and kids participate because they want to. Losing is a part of life and kids need to learn. Evidently the people protesting this have never been to a rodeo because the person that doesn’t make it or gets bucked off is cheared for just as much as the next person.

4-H/FFA build strong leaders and taking that away is not only harmful to the kids but detrimental to the societies future!!

I teach riding lessons and bring several barrel racers to the Johnson County Fair Youth Rodeo every year. It is a highlight to our summer! We would not participate or attend if there was any abuse, neglect or torture toward any of the animals.

I attended the board meeting and they support the kids rodeo.

4H and FFA have been a long time tradition in our family and has taught leadership and hard work and commitment.

Please keep the youth rodeo. Great history and tradition.

That is so stupid.those animals are not getting hurt.i think the parents and kids should get to do what they want.

Please continue a family event like a youth rodeo and all agriculture events.

Our family has resided in Johnson County for over 14 years. Both of our children are in 4h. 4h teaches children how to set goals and work hard to achieve them. These are important skills to create successful, responsible adults. Johnson County should invest 4h youth as they will be future community leaders.

this is actually the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen. the animals are taken very good care of and are not harmed in any way. if they are injured they are taken into immediate care.

Our daughter and son both run barrels there! Our family and friends make a night of it every year!

My oldest kid is a town dwelling member of the 4H Horse and Pony club and competes on her horse in barrels and poles. My youngest kid is a member of the Horse and Pony Clover Kids Club since she is too young to compete at the fair. I would encourage anyone against this grant to come and visit the club or come to a show. Both of my kids have learned amazing life lessons working and taking care of horses. It takes a ton of hard work and a lot of respect between kids/horses to be successful. And of note—the Horse and Pony Club is accessible to any kid in Johnson County. One of the leaders free-leases her horses to kids to be able to participate if they don’t have a horse. The rodeo is an event that is part of the culmination of a year of hard work. 4H is amazing— kids get outside, volunteer in their community and kids see the reward of hard work. The Supervisors should support the fair.
