Support the Iranian People’s Fight for Freedom and Democracy

We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the people of Iran who have endured over a century of repression—first under Shah’s one party dictatorship, and now monarchy under a one party theocratic dictatorship. The Iranian regime continues to deny basic human rights, silence dissent, and escalate regional instability through terrorism and nuclear escalation.
Time and again, the Iranian people have risen up—most recently in 2018, 2019, and 2022—demanding a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic. Their courage, especially that of women and youth, deserves our recognition and support.
We are deeply concerned about the regime’s ongoing human rights abuses and its threats beyond Iran’s borders, including cyberattacks and intimidation of Iranian political refugees, such as those in Ashraf-3, Albania. These refugees are survivors and key witnesses to atrocities like the 1988 massacre, and they must be protected.
We urge our elected officials in Congress to stand with the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and justice. Specifically, we call on all Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate to support House Resolution 166 (H.Res.166) and Senate Resolution 145 (S.Res.145).
These bipartisan resolutions reaffirm America’s commitment to a future Iran defined by democracy, human rights, and peace—not dictatorship and nuclear threats.
