Support the Grandison Family for their Permanent Residency Visa

We are family friends with the Grandisons through school and believe they must be allowed to stay. They have proven themselves to be excellent members of our community, and we feel will certainly remain long term contributors to our society at many different levels. It is manifestly unjust to send this wonderful family back to England, when we accept so called "refugees" who come to this country via illegal means, who have no means of support, don't speak the language, and generally don't wish to mix with Australians. It is the right and proper thing to do to allow this family to stay. Please add your support for these wonderful people.

Totally wrong reasons for rejecting this worthy permanent residency visa applicant and his family. They will be true assets to the Noosa community.

This family's contributions thus far and into the forseeable future would far outstrip any potential burden, which under the circumstances would be minimal, if at all.

These are the people we need in Australia. Their valuable contribution both medically and socially is invaluable. They more than capable of looking after their son. Get you priorities right, here is a qualified doctor who you want to turn away.

The Keily family strongly support the approval of the permanent visa application for Dr Stephen Grandison, which will allow a continuation of the outstanding contribution that Stephen and his wife Sarah are making to the Sunshine Coast community.

It defies belief that this poor, hard-working family, who give so much to the community, are in this situation. Someone in a position of authority/responsibility should make a rational decision, not based on ticking or crossing a box for medical fitness, but on the whole picture. Australia needs people like Stephen, Sarah and their kids. They are amazing positive examples of what it means to be Australian. After being bombarded recently by reports of how a dreadful 'Australian Citizen' has ruined the lives of so many, including the Morecombes, surely we need people who are giving back to society, rather than taking in the worst possible way. Good luck Stephen, Sarah, Ben, Tom and Katie.

I became ill whilst holidaying in Noosa over the Christmas break and was treated by Stephen. He was one of the very few Doctors willing to practice through the Christmas Holidays. This sends a clear message of this families selflessness and willingness to help the community in any way they can. Australia NEEDS people like the Grandisons and the assessment process is clearly flawed if such admirable qualities are overlooked. The contribution this family are making to the betterment of the Noosaville and wider community is obvious. There should be no question at all that this family should remain in Australia if they wish to do so.

Far from being a 'burden', the Grandison Family not only fully accept their responsibility for Tom, but reach out to assist and mentor other families in our community coping with similar situations. Any cost benefit analysis would conclude 'terrific asset'!!
