While Mayor Diamond has published a letter to stop consolidation efforts of the Glens Falls Police Department, James Brock,who represents Glens Falls 4th Ward on the Warren County Board of Supervisors continues to push for consolidation. Glens Falls Mayor Jack Diamond has continued to push his private agenda of disbanding the Glens Falls Police Department and consolidating with the Warren County Sheriff Dept. He has refused to answer whether or not he has the support of the Glens Falls Common Council. Mayor Diamond continues to release information through his office without making himself available for comment or question. A consolidation would result in the those people living in Glens Falls losing the quick and familiar response of Glens Falls Police Officers. Once the police department goes away there is no bringing it back. Show your support of the Glens Falls Police Dept by signing this petition. The Mayor's office can be reached at 518-761-3804.

My dad has worked for this department since 02 when we moved to Queensbury. He has worked tirelesly to keep the streets and residents of Glens Falls safe. He has moved up within the department and is now Captain. I suppport The Glens Falls Police Department.. And you should too!
I work closely with these guys, it's always nice in the emergency services to have the backup of the GFPD. I've always felt secure and safe at work your brothers and sisters down the road support you.
My wife is a RN at GFH, and knowing that GFPD is always just seconds away is a great feeling! Do away with a Cities police force, your just opening doors for the drug dealers, and that in turn opens the doors to greater amount of theft, and violent crimes!! The statistics are scary google it
Nothing beats having your own dedicated police force. The alleged pennies you save isn't worth the potential of not having a patrol show up if the are out of the city. Nothing against the Warren County Sheriff's but, please keep your city PD.
Im a tax paying resident in the City of Glens Falls. I DO NOT wish to see a consolidation and I am ok with not getting back the $200 a year.

Please keep the Glens Falls Police Department. The citizens deserve proper police protection. Remember that are the city's First Responders. You need them.

I have to say the 21 years we have lived in Glens Falls, the police department has always treated us with the upmost respect and courtesy. I don't think I would live in Glens Falls any longer if consolidated.
