This policy is really misguided. A great brewery Hophurst has also been denied a micro pub in Wigan. These places do not attract louts and the Council need to recognise this.

This place should remain open with the fact there are other pubs in the area that have a hell of alot more reason for complain. And another reason is a tiny little business like this should be given chance to thrive rather than the council take their opportunity away.

The council should focus on closing down the establishments where all of the trouble is happening rather than tien down licensing applications for small businesses that will add value to the town and attract people to the area who.like a quite relaxing drink.

Knowing the type of clientele that this pub would be marketed at, I can't see a justification for the denial of a license. It'll be people who drink the ales for the enjoyment of them and it will hardly attract groups of unruly types that would possibly cause bother!

Not every pub is full of young idiots. Adults need a place to go where it isn't full of young people and this one is perfect.
