Punishment too harsh, and two years is far too long to wait for sentencing. We all make mistakes when we're young. Suspended sentences or community service would have sufficed. Wish them all the best in rebuilding their lives.

Hideous sentences - this will ruin some of these young lads lives and they won't learn to be good citizens inside but bigger criminals. They done wrong but for gods sake did anyone die or even get badly injured? No!! A large fine and a ban from football and perhaps even suspended Sentences but to send lads down with jobs and families how can that be fair? We complain about other countries justice systems and then do this? Come on Mr Cameron play the game fair? Give these young lads a SECOND chance NOT to ruin their lives?

The sentences handed to these lads are absolutely ridiculous. Decent and hardworking lads who have never committed an offence before. 1 moment of stupidity and this is what they get, absolutely crazy and the justice system seriously needs revising, I've seen convicted paedophiles receive lesser sentences!

Perhaps they should have got the same as when top footballers fight on pitch, a couple of weeks wages drop, some don't even get that

Far too harsh for what the lads have done. If they needed to be punished then community service would have surficed

Sentences are very harsh indeed
Is prison always the answer ? Does it make you a better person I doubt it . Community service more appropriate in these cases I believe
