My thoughts go out to all of the families that have been affected as well as the all of the lads, good luck x

No one should ever be made an example of. This implies unfair and unequal treatment. I was always lead to believe the punishment should fit the crime. Whilst I don't condone the actions of the individuals involved it's outrageous that had this occurred in a bar rather than in a football ground they would merely have received a slap on the wrist.

Ridiculously long sentences that do not fit the crime given to hard working local lads. The justice system and judge had ought to be ashamed.

Punishments do not fit the crimes committed!! the same judge sentenced 18months for a stabbing so how can you warrant the sentences our boys have received for a far less crime committed?! The U.K. justice system has made a mockery of itself yet again!

Disgusting unfair treatment of decent lads, vindictive sentencing and makes me have no faith in the British justice system

It's an unfair sentence, they are young lads that made a mistake and don't need to be punished so harshly. Especially when there are people running wild on the loose who will get shorter sentences. The justice system is pathetic!
